What is Mark Zuckerberg thinks Google +, the new search giant social network?
We were curious, so we asked two questions Zuckerberg at the Facebook event video chat in Palo Alto, California: Will video chat group in the future? And what he thinks about Google + Hangouts, Google new feature video chat group?
The first question, Mark Zuckerberg said he simply "did not exclude anything," but argued that we should not knock the value of one-on-one video chat, including a platform as large as Facebook. He also took the opportunity to clarify that the partnership with Skype over a long time, even before Tony Bates became the CEO of Skype. "We worked with Skype for some time," he told the audience.
CEO of Facebook has danced around the second question. He reiterated the key point to speak: that the next five years are about building applications on top of the social infrastructure that was built over the past five years. Zuckerberg predicted that many companies that have not traditionally looked at social networking will focus on integrating into their applications. He cited as an example of Netflix, and was clearly referring to Google as another.
While he did not give Google + a boost or thumbs down, he said that the increase in social in several companies in line with his worldview. "I see many that validate how the next five years will play out," he said in his speech.
Zuckerberg does not seem concerned by this potential threat Google+. "Our job is to stay focused," he said.
